They reflect what I’ve used and found meaningful in navigating challenges, fostering connection, and deepening self-awareness.

Here, you’ll find books, programs, and practices grounded in trauma-informed approaches, energy medicine, and embodiment. Whether it’s learning from thought leaders, exploring somatic techniques, or engaging with community-based healing models, these resources are designed to inspire and support your well-being.

From powerful texts like The Energy Codes to somatic practices such as orienting and self-hugging, each entry reflects a holistic perspective on healing the mind, body, and spirit. You’ll also find tools and frameworks like Polyvagal Theory, EMDR, and Inner Child Work, which have been instrumental in my journey and may resonate with you too.

I’ve included links to trusted practitioners, organizations, and programs that align with trauma-informed principles, as well as templates and techniques for healing, communication, and self-exploration. This list is ever-evolving, just as healing is a continuous process.

Please feel free to explore at your own pace, knowing that this page is a labor of love, born out of my desire to share what has helped me and, hopefully, to offer support to those seeking their own path to balance and empowerment.

Thank you for visiting, and I hope these resources nourish and nurture you on your journey.

Embodiment Practices

Embodiment Videos for Daily Nervous System Support & Reset

These embodiment videos are tools for expanding your nervous system’s capacity, promoting self-regulation, and navigating stress responses with greater ease. They’re designed to fit easily into your life, whether as part of a daily self-care routine, a grounding practice throughout the day, or a go-to resource when you notice signs of dysregulation.

Each of these four practices has been profoundly impactful on my own healing journey and in the work I do with clients. They offer a gentle yet effective way to connect with your body, release tension, and create more expansiveness and resilience in your nervous system.

For more videos and resources, subscribe to the BODHI Healing YouTube channel, where we will continue sharing practices to support your growth and well-being. These four videos are a great place to start, offering accessible tools for cultivating calm, connection, and balance.

Butterfly Tap & Self Hug: Gentle Nervous System Reset

Take a moment to nurture your nervous system with this calming practice. The Butterfly Tap and Self Hug are simple, soothing techniques designed to gently support your body in finding safety and relaxation. Perfect for moments of stress, overwhelm, or as part of your daily self-care routine, these movements help bring balance to your autonomic nervous system and reconnect you to a sense of calm.

Breathe deeply, follow along, and give yourself the gift of rest and restoration.

Running the Triple Warmer Meridian Backwards: Calm and Balance Your System

The Triple Warmer Meridian is a key energy pathway in the body, traditionally associated with activating the body’s stress response. It governs the fight-flight-freeze reaction, working alongside your nervous and endocrine systems to respond to perceived threats. While this function is essential for survival, chronic activation can lead to stress, tension, and energetic imbalance.

By intentionally running the Triple Warmer Meridian backwards—a gentle and restorative practice—you can help signal to your body that it’s safe to relax. This technique works by soothing overactive stress pathways, encouraging your system to downregulate and return to balance.

Shaking for the Nervous System: Releasing Trapped Energy

Harness the power of shaking to support your nervous system and release trapped energy stored in the body. This evidence-informed practice is based on the natural physiological response observed in animals, who instinctively shake after stress to discharge excess energy and return to a state of balance.

Shaking activates the body’s innate mechanisms for regulating the autonomic nervous system, helping to process stored tension and reduce the physiological impact of stress. By engaging in this practice, you can support your body in completing the stress cycle, fostering calm, grounding, and emotional regulation.

Discover how shaking can be a practical, science-backed tool for nervous system health and overall well-being.

Visual Orienting: Calm Your Nervous System

Take a moment to reset and calm your nervous system with the powerful practice of visual orienting. By gently engaging your eyes and scanning your surroundings, you activate key cranial nerves that send signals of safety to your brain. This simple yet effective technique helps reassure your body that there's no "bear" or immediate threat in the room, allowing your nervous system to shift out of fight-or-flight mode and into a state of calm and regulation.

Understanding Anti-Racism: A Path to Collective Healing and Embodiment

When I first encountered the concept of anti-racism, I thought it was something I was doing for others—a way to address injustice and support marginalized communities. But as I delved deeper into the work, I realized that anti-racism is just as much about healing myself. It’s about uncovering the ways systemic oppression has harmed me, the ways I unconsciously participate in harmful systems, and reclaiming the truth that all of us have the right to exist safely and with respect in our own bodies.

This work is rooted in embodiment—coming back to our physical selves, breaking free from patterns of disconnection, and recognizing how oppression, privilege, and trauma live in our nervous systems. The systems of colonization and cultural oppression rob us of our humanity, separating us from the earth, each other, and even our own sense of self. Anti-racism is not just about understanding external systems—it’s about healing the internal disconnection that those systems create.

By reclaiming embodiment, we can see the harm that has been done to us and the harm we may unintentionally perpetuate. This awareness allows us to move from shame to accountability, from isolation to connection. Anti-racism is about creating a world where we can all exist freely and safely in our bodies, with dignity and respect. It’s not about blame—it’s about liberation for all of us.

This journey has been deeply informed by my time with the Atlanta Friends Meeting and the Quaker community, where I began to see how privilege and oppression intertwine to harm us all. Resources like Lyla June’s The Vast & Beautiful World of Indigenous Europe, Ibram X. Kendi’s How to Be an Antiracist, and Tema Okun’s work on White Supremacy Culture* have helped me understand the systemic patterns at play and how much healing is possible when we come back to ourselves and to each other. *(This is the original 2001 text by Okun, please see Okun’s further work on unpacking this and not-weaponizing this language)

Anti-racism & Justice based work is not a scary thing; it’s a call to healing. It’s an invitation to reclaim our humanity, restore our connection to the earth and one another, and build a world where everyone belongs, into our Beloved Community. And this work is a foundation for the work I do and the life I live.
